Installed on 2010 Silverado. These are the clear version and not the tinted housing. Recently during a drive my girlfriend asked me, "are your headlights even on?" I agreed, my stock headlights were terrible. After weeks of research on HID retrofits for the original housings, I came across the various options on Amazon. While I was pretty impressed by a set of headlights I saw with switchback LEDs and Morimoto HID's, the anticipated 1000 dollar price was not an option.I ordered these and figured I'd put a set of Hikari LED bulbs or maybe an H1 Morimoto HID kit in them. The description states they don't include bulbs but they did. Installed are two halogen H1 bulbs. Blinkers were transferred from the original lights. The included bulbs have a pigtail with matching connector so your existing factory harness will plug right in. I deducted 1 star because one of my high beams had the wrong plug so I removed it and installed the correct one. I'm sure that's just a mistake from the factory. The LED DRL positive was connected to the Grey wire going to the parking lights. Installation is relatively painless and I assure you, you'll get good at it because you'll definitely be taking them out a few times. The reason is because the low beam projector vertical and horizontal adjustment falls into a location where access to these adjusters is difficult or not possible. For starters, the photo showing these adjusters is not correct. The upper adjusters are not below the low beam, they're above it. There are not three, only two.On the driver's side, one of the two low beam adjusters is easily turned with a philips screwdriver since the area behind this is unoccupied. The other adjuster (vertical) will require the light be pulled back out for adjustment access. Passenger side upper low beam adjustments are blocked by radiator support and air filter assembly so adjusting either will require u remove the light. The highbeam at the bottom does have three adjusters and since there are two for horizontal adjusters be sure to loosen one before tightening the other. All of these can be accessed with an 8mm 1/4 drive socket, universal joint and 12 inch extension by going in through the inner fender after removing a couple screws holding the plastic shield.FitThere are only 3 bolts holding the headlights in on each side. Since all three mounting tabs are slotted, getting the positioning correct so the vertical gap between the fender is straight was easy. Initially I didn't pay much attention to the other two bolts and noticed the housing wasn't flush with front edge and grill. A quick adjustment brought it all to the proper position. I am very satisfied with their fit.Light outputI wish I took before / after photos but all I can say is the output is easily 3x brighter with the projector, far more focused and has a sharp cut off. I would go as far as to say that I could be completely happy with just a halogen bulb upgrade to match the DRL color temp while getting some additional output as a bonus. I did order an HID bulb/ballast for the low beam but may return it because I don't see the need anymore.I am pretty certain that many LED bulbs may not have enough clearance behind the housing but I haven't tried to confirm. Pretty sure that's why GM used H11 and 9005 bulbs in the original housing as the harness exits at 90 degrees and not straight. These housings use H1 bulbs. All bulbs have thick rubber covers that slip over the back to seal out moisture. The entire housing perimeter is clearly assembled with some heavy duty black sealant and screwed together. I don't expect the lights to have any moisture related issues but only time will tell. If they did, I'd just reseal them and maybe upgrade the projector reflector for the HID bulb at the same time while I'm in there. For now, all is good.Overall I'm very happy. Truck looks phenomenal, and best of all I can see so much better. Huge improvement. I would absolutely buy these again. Just be prepared to put some time into getting them aimed right. To be honest, they were pretty much aimed right out of the box but my truck has a leveling kit and I had to adjust them to point lower and got them all messed up before I figured out what adjustment did what and how much to turn them.Only thing I can complain about is the top adjusters which are round with a philips head are not durable at all. They should all have 8mm hex's like the lower. I already stripped the philips and have to turn them with pliars now. Spyder does show another way to adjust these from the top without removal using a long phillips screwdriver which can engage with the teeth of the round wheel / gear. Tried it but I already see that without a channel to contain the screwdriver, you can't keep the screwdriver in place to turn it both ways and I kinda gouged the plastic around the in the process. Do yourself a favor and just adjust the top wheels from the back.UPDATEI decided to install HID bulbs in the low beam projectors. The kit I ordered was the Morimoto H1 Elite with the stand alone relay. It took me less time to install that than I expected but I can definitely say without a doubt the projectors in these lights are not optimized for HID at all. Output was slightly better than the included H1 halogens but nothing like what I hoped for. In addition, the cut off is a little sharper on one but both have light spill that the cut off doesn't control. You see it about 10 feet above the cut off and it looks a bit like eyelashes over an arc if that makes sense.I noticed that if I held the hid bulb where the harness enters and manipulate it a bit, the beam pattern changed considerably. I essentially had to tilt the HID bulb down slightly and then the hot spot magically appeared and output got significantly better. I managed to shim the bulb to keep it that way but decided to order the Morimoto Mini H1 version 7 and I'm going to retrofit them into these housings. In the end, I spent way more than I planned but am too deep now to turn back. If you stay with Halogens, these work well.Do yourself a favor and go with a name brand like Spyder, I waisted too much time and money on the other brands that are basically thrown together in china, not sealed, adjusters not working and so on. At least Spyder is a company you can contact and stands behind their product and provides a more quality product. They are sealed, but I added a little more sealant just to be safe, they have 2 adjusters per bulb, up & down & left to right. When you go with another cheap brand, you can only contact the middle man that knows nothing. There were no instructions explaining what wires did what. I had to keep playing around until I figured it out. Didn't know what was setup for running lights versus headlights. Eventually I got it setup where the top light & the light strips came on as running lights. Then head lights, the top light gets brighter. Brights turn on all lights. But everything is bright & clear. Just needs instructions on what's what. They are amazing. The lights fit perfectly and it was an easy to installation. It is time consuming to install due to having to take off the grille but worth it!Looked great. Some wiring required but not hard.I haven’t got any dislikes so far they are great easy to hook up, look awesome and so much brighter. I love minePerfect for the priceThese were great. I installed led low beam and they worked fine
